Privacy Policy for Auto Salvage Automation

Auto Salvage Automation (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy and is committed to protecting the information you provide. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information, including how we use it to send SMS messages related to junk car leads and account activity.
Information We Collect
We may collect personal information from users, including:
- Name
- Phone number
- Business name (if applicable)
- Email address
- Business preferences or settings configured within your Auto Salvage Automation account
How We Collect Consent for SMS Messaging
Users provide explicit consent to receive SMS notifications by enabling text alerts within their Auto Salvage Automation account.
To opt in:
- Users log in at https://app.autosalvageautomation.com/settings
- Under their Admin Panel settings, they toggle “Enable Text Alerts”
Directly below the toggle, the following opt-in language is clearly displayed:
“By providing your phone number, you agree to receive SMS notifications related to junk car leads, appointments, or updates from Auto Salvage Automation. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Message and data rates may apply.”
Consent is collected explicitly via this user-controlled setting and applies only to users managing their own account within our platform.
How We Collect Consent for SMS Messaging from Vehicle Sellers (Consumer Calculator)
When a consumer uses our Junk Car Calculator widget (embedded on our clients’ websites), they may provide their phone number to receive a cash offer for their vehicle. On the final step of the calculator, consumers see an optional, unchecked checkbox with the following label:
“Yes — text me my offer and pickup updates.”
Directly below the checkbox, the following disclosure is clearly displayed:
“By checking this box, I agree to receive calls and text messages at the number I provided about my vehicle, offer, and pickup. Messages may be sent using automated technology, prerecorded/artificial voice, or AI-generated voice. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not required to receive an offer or sell your vehicle.”
The checkbox is not required to receive an offer. Consumers who do not check the box still receive their instant cash offer but will not receive automated SMS follow-up messages.
Consumers who opt in receive no more than 3 automated SMS messages over 72 hours related to their vehicle offer and pickup scheduling. Messages are only sent between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM in the consumer’s local time zone.
To opt out at any time, consumers may reply STOP to any message. Opt-out requests are processed immediately and all pending messages are canceled.
Mobile information collected through the calculator will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Send SMS alerts for junk car leads and related account activity
- Notify you about important service updates or changes
- Improve our products and communication
We do not share or sell your personal information for third-party marketing purposes.
How to Opt Out
You may opt out of SMS notifications at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any text message
- Logging into your account and toggling off “Enable Text Alerts” under https://app.autosalvageautomation.com/settings
You can also contact us directly to request removal.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data and prevent unauthorized access.
Third-Party Services
SMS messages are sent via Twilio. Twilio may process certain information such as your phone number and message metadata in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

- Correct or update your information
- Request deletion of your data
